Hubbard Hall Tune Jam

E-mail Print PDF

Cambridge country sceneOverview

This page is for the use of the Hubbard Hall Tune Jam for Instrumentalists, where we have been learning traditional and modern Irish, Scottish, Shetland, Quebecois, and Appalachian "old timey" music by ear. The class is open to all levels of skill and all instruments and meets every Tuesday in the Beacon Feed building behind Hubbard Hall at 5:30-6:30 PM.

To receive announcements of cancellations and special events, please join the tune jam email list.  Note that we do not announce regular classes, which occur nearly every week of the year.

Recordings

These are rough recordings made as we are learning songs by ear. The purpose of these recordings is to allow us to learn (or, rather, re-learn) the songs when we forget them after class:

Chords

See also this chord chart for some of the above tunes.
